In the wake of our successful city guide collaboration with Tala Soubra, an opportunity arose to extend our creative partnership with Uber.
We chose to embrace an approach that was intentionally counterintuitive to the digital essence of Uber’s operations. Our vision was to craft physical city guides that passengers could take with them as souvenirs from their rides. This initiative was not just about providing practical information, it was about creating an unexpected, tactile connection in a predominantly digital experience.
While adhering to Uber’s creative guidelines, we were able to design the guides to be playful and visually engaging – thanks to Tala’s photography.
We started with Dubai and later expanded the project to include Cairo and Beirut.
